I borrowed this book to write book review from Kumamoto Gakuen University library. I will tell you about this book. The title of this book is “The Gingerbread Man”. It is classical tale but I have never read this story. This book was retold by Sue arego and illustrated by Teri Cower. I chose this book because the illustration of this book is so cute! There were a lot of characters in this story. For example, this story had an old man, an old woman, a gingerbread man and so on. The old man and the old woman didn’t have any children. One day, the old woman was making something in the kitchen. She made a gingerbread man! She made his a head, legs, eyes, nose and mouth. She thought that the gingerbread man was like a little boy so she was happy. When she put the gingerbread man in an oven, she heard a little voice. She opened the oven door and the gingerbread man jumped out. She said “Stop!” but the gingerbread man ran across the kitchen and out of the door. He didn’t stop and ran away! What did the gingerbread do then? What happen for him? If you want to know the end of this story, you should read this story! I recommend you this book because this story made me happy! I think that it is easy for you to read this book.
